How your seed, recent maps, saved views and map settings are handled.

Updated 1 November 2026

Seed calculations

Your browser calculates the map from the seed and settings you enter. The map does not upload seeds to a remote calculation service or require an account. Page and engine files are requested from the website so those calculations can run.

Current inputs and map data are held in page memory. Closing or reloading the page clears temporary state unless settings are restored from recent history, a saved view or a shared link.

Recent maps on your device

Opening or moving around a map automatically keeps a recent entry in this browser. The history stores the seed, edition, version, dimension, map center, slice height, map width, detail setting, view mode and visit time. It keeps up to 20 recent seed, edition, version and dimension combinations. Returning to the same seed, edition, version and dimension updates that entry with the latest view instead of adding another copy.

Recent history stays in this browser’s local storage. The application does not transmit it to a server or synchronize it across devices. People using the same browser profile may see these entries. On Home, open Recent maps and choose Clear recent history to remove them. Clearing recent history leaves your named saved views in place; clearing all site data removes both.

Saved views on your device

When you choose Save view, the name, seed, location and map/display settings are stored in this browser’s local storage for this website. The application does not synchronize them to other devices or keep an account backup. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to access saved views.

Entries remain until you remove them, clear site data or the browser removes them. Avoid adding personal information to view names. You can remove entries on the map or clear them on the Cookies & browser storage page.

Shared links, clipboard and downloads

Shared-view links include the seed and settings in the URL fragment, after #. The application reads that fragment in your browser; it is not part of the HTTP request sent to the website. Anyone who receives the complete link can read its contents, and your browser may retain it in history.

Copy buttons write information to your clipboard only when selected. Image downloads save a map image through your browser. The Help page prepares copyable world details on your device and does not submit them. Review information before sharing it with another person or service.

Cookies and third-party services

This website does not set application cookies or include advertising, analytics, tracking pixels or account sign-in. Recent history and saved views use browser local storage, as explained in the storage policy.

When a browser requests website files, connection information such as its IP address is available to the server handling the request. Saved seeds and shared-link fragments are not included in those file requests by this application.

External websites linked from these pages operate under their own privacy policies. Review those policies before providing information to those services.

Managing your information

Use Recent maps on Home to clear automatic history, use the saved-view controls to delete named entries, or clear this website’s data through your browser settings. Browser history, clipboard contents and downloaded images are managed separately. Removing recent history or saved views does not delete a Minecraft world.

This policy describes the features currently provided. Any change to advertising, analytics, accounts or other data-handling features should be reflected in an updated policy and relevant controls before those features are enabled.
