SEEDMAPKIT
About SeedMapKit
A browser-based planning tool for players exploring default Minecraft Java worlds in the versions offered by the map.
What you can do with the map
SeedMapKit turns a numeric seed and coordinates into a map you can inspect. It is designed for practical questions: which area is worth visiting, how two destinations relate to each other, and where to begin looking for a supported structure.
The map does not edit a world, create a game account or reveal information from a server you have not supplied. You provide the seed and choose the location. The tool calculates a view from those inputs.
Start with the seed map for an overview, the structure finder for a destination, or the random seed generator to investigate a new number.
Terrain, illustrations and structure markers
| Layer | What it tells you | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Calculated terrain and biomes | Base Overworld heights, surface-biome colors, or a biome slice at a selected Y. | Compare regions and inspect coordinates. |
| Illustrated appearance | Decorative tree canopies and block-style materials selected to suit the terrain and biome. | Read the landscape visually, without treating the decoration as exact blocks. |
| Structure predictions | Candidate start chunks for supported structures. | Choose places to check in-game, rather than assuming an entrance or a complete building outline. |
The distinction matters. A map can calculate a biome correctly while the visible cave entrance, tree or structure layout still differs from the game.
What is supported, and what is not
Select the exact Java version in the map before rendering. The offered versions use default world generation. Terrain is available for the Overworld; biome slices are available in all three dimensions. The structure layer includes villages, desert pyramids, jungle temples, ocean monuments, ancient cities, trial chambers, strongholds, shipwrecks, ruined portals, Nether fortresses, bastions and End cities, plus outposts, igloos, mansions, ocean ruins, swamp huts, trail ruins, mineshafts and buried treasure. The available list follows the selected version; trial chambers are absent in 1.20.6. Ruined portals are available in both the Overworld and Nether.
It does not reproduce finished Minecraft chunks. Cave carving, aquifers, exact surface materials, vegetation placement, structure geometry, loot and ores are outside the map’s scope. Bedrock and versions absent from the selector are not supported. Custom generation is not supported.
These limits also apply to attractive views. The optional 3D perspective uses the same terrain information. Changing the presentation does not turn an illustration into exact in-game terrain. Check significant destinations in a matching world before making a long journey.
Why a prediction can differ from the game
Coordinates are preserved as numeric world positions, and the interface labels structure results as predictions. A point inspection and a wide map sample answer different questions: the first checks one position, while the second shows a sampled overview.
When a result differs, the useful comparison is the same seed, edition, version, dimension and location in newly generated terrain. Upgraded worlds and datapacks add another source of differences. The Help page provides a checklist and a way to prepare the relevant details.
We do not present the map as a universal accuracy guarantee or promise that every candidate becomes a complete structure.
Your saved views and shared links
The application runs its calculations in your browser. Saving a view stores it on this device; sharing a link reveals its seed and settings to the recipient. No account is required. Read the Privacy policy and browser storage information before using a shared device.
